I was in my room and relaxing and once they stated the cervadil I started getting contractions. Throughout the night my contractions were getting stronger and I slept for maybe 2 hours with help from some pain meds. Brittany was so cute she was trying to help me feel better but she was also very uncomfortable and tired on the crummy hospital bed. My mom was so sweet, she knew I was in so much pain and she came to be with me at 4am to try to help me and do whatever she could to ease my pain. I was happy that the cervadil was working and starting my labor because usually it doesn't do that to women, so I felt this baby was ready to come out anyways.
After my pictocin began my water broke naturally which was great! I knew it would only be a matter of time before the baby would be there. I was 1 cm dilated and decided to get the epidural because I was already in a lot of pain and I hadn't slept the night before because of the pain so I needed the rest. Once I got the epidural I was able to sleep for a few hours and I was apparently getting contractions every 2 minutes and I couldn't feel them, GREAT!
I went from 1cm -10 in like 3 hours which is really fast! When it came time I started to push, and pushing was hard hard work! I never realized how hard it would be to push, I knew it would not be easy but GOSH it was HARD! I pushed and pushed for 2 1/2 hours and this baby was so close to being out, the doctor could see his blonde hair! They realized the baby was facing up which is a very difficult position for a first time mom to deliver, especially being such a big baby. After all the time pushing I decided that I wanted a c-section because I was EXHAUSTED! I was in so much pain waiting to go to the operating room, I was 10 cm and getting contractions that I could not push and my epi was wearing off. I literally thought the pain was never going to end.
I was scared to be operated on but I could not wait to meet my little man, he was so strong and worked so hard to come out, I knew he must have been just as tired as I was and couldn't wait to hold him. When they showed me his face I was instantly in love, I could not believe how blessed I had gotten. He was RIDICULOUSLY adorable and healthy! I was literally like "OMG he is so cute!!!!" I had to go to recovery after which I missed Noah but I needed to sleep so bad, I felt like I was drunk with tiredness. I finally got to see Noah at like 12:30 at night when I got to my hospital room. That was the best night and it has been getting better and better every day.
Im super in love and super happy being a mom. I couldn't imagine anything better and I am so happy to be doing it with my husband, he surprises me every day with the way he loves our boy.
Everything is good now, I am feeling good. Not 100% but every day is a little more comfortable, I am happy because I have my little sweet family :)
